It has been exactly one year since my procedure. I'm so pleased that I ultimately chose Dr. Bolton as my doctor.

I've been experiencing hair loss since I was 19 years old, and I have used Minoxidil ever since then. Now, several decades later, the extent of my hair-loss has progressed and prevented me from maintaining my customary hair style. In other words, I did not feel like myself any longer.

My personal standards are very high, so I thoroughly researched my options. I recognized that Dr. Bolton does fine, detailed work that includes the transplantation of singular follicular units and requires technical and artistic talent. What further impressed me was Dr. Bolton's work with burn patients. The results Dr. Bolton's patients achieved were natural and robust. I was so inspired by his patient's stories that I flew out from California to have Dr. Bolton perform my own FUT procedure.

During our initial consultation, Dr. Bolton spent considerable time with me to design a new hairline that was exactly what I wanted. He also informed me that I may need a second procedure in order to ultimately achieve the density I want. Many doctors won't transplant hair to the temple peaks. (That is the hair on the side of your head) Dr. Bolton fortified my temple peaks, then created a strong hairline that was uniquely suited to the shape of my head. He completely rejuvenated my hairline back to where it was during my 20's.

Dr. Bolton's manager arranged for me to stay in a recovery room during the first few days while the grafts began to heal. The fact that I had someone right there made me feel very secure. I was shepherded through the process of recovery while I was well cared for, and I well fed.

We achieved the best result possible with one max-harvest procedure. I've come to recognize that Dr. Bolton did more work on me than I first realized. He transplanted back into my existing hairline, and it appears that all the hair he transplanted grew out completely.
The new transplanted hair supports the way my existing hair falls and frames my face.

No one has noticed that I've had substantial work done. People just tell me that I look really good. People did not notice the change because the transplanted hair grew in gradually over the first few months after the procedure. There are no scars in the transplanted area and the donor area is completely healed with a hairline scar that is almost completely invisible. My high-end barber has other clients with transplants. He told me that the job Dr. Bolton performed on me was the best he has ever seen.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Bolton, Josh and the rest of the transplant team. Our journey started with my son leaving for college for the first time. He began complaining that he was losing his hair. After having him checked out by his doctor, they determined that he suffered from male pattern baldness. As a 19 year old, this was devastating. My once confident and happy son became so down.He didn't want to go anywhere or see his friends. The only way he left the house was with a hat on. As a parent, I went into fix it mode. I really researched what the best method would be, strip or FUE. We did the strip and are so happy with our choice! Dr. Bolton gave us our son back. It's been 2 years since the transplant and my son has a full head of hair. I saw Dr Bolton for hair loss. I have done 2 procedures and the results has been amazing. I have a previous surgery before at a location in Texas, which did not give me good results, I end up with a bad scar and very few good grafts. When I consult Dr. Bolton I knew my case was gonna be difficult and I did no have any big expectations as far of results. On my first surgery my full front was fully cover with good grafts, the first 3 month were not that significant but then after I noticed a big improvement, then the second surgery went much better I am within the first 3 months and I am already seen good results. Dr. Bolton is very profesional he had great surgical skills, my recovery was amazing on the first week I noticed significant amount of healing, very little inflammation, no edema on my face or forehead, I used ice as indicated for the first 3 days and the pain was minimal. Dr. Bolton staff has been very helpful they had contacted me several time before during and after the procedure to make sure I was doing well. I recommend this place for male hair transplant. I went to Dr Bolton for a great hair transplant! I wanted to get the most hair I could in one procedure. I had a procedure years ago and now at Bosley they could not do as much coverage I needed. It would cost a lot more for multiple procedures which is hard on your hair and your life. I wanted to do just one!. Josh the hair specialist gave me accurate information as my hair loss was massive! First thing I started on was Finasteride. I talked to my urologist about it and he said studies proved that there was as much side effects as with a palcebo. With Minoxidil and Finasteride, 12 months later my hair loss was not as massive and then I had the procedure. I live in Hawaii so going to Florida for the procedure I had to make sure this was the best bang for the buck for getting my hair back. Before I heard of Dr Bolton I visited Bosley for a consultation. Not only they could not give me my hair back in one procedure, they told me I could stop using Minoxidil and I could use a laser cap instead. Big mistake! Months later I lost a lot of hair before I talked to Josh at Great Hair Transplants. He helped me get my hair back and better than I expected! To think I considered shaving my head and going bald! I am at 10 months now and my coverage is impressive. I am 65 and my hair was thin and very sparse and grey and white on the sides. It was straight with no body and baby hair thin strands showing lots of scalp. Now the hair quality is thick and dark. It is unbelievable, but it is very curly now also. I always wanted curly hair and I guess the donor site in the back was where my hair started to curl. First procedure I had years before elsewhere, my hair that was transplanted was the same type of hair and straight. Now from fine whispy grey hair to thick dark curly hair I could not be happier. Well worth it!

I had a Max harvest plus procedure with Dr Bolton in October 2020. I had anxiety about the strip being taken out before the procedure, but I can confirm that it does not hurt whatsoever. Dr. B is highly skilled with the scalpel and uses a perfect amount of local anesthetic so there is no discomfort at all when the strip is being taken out. Dr B said it was 70 square cm taken out. Once the strip is taken out Dr Bolton creates the recipient sites which are slits that I didn't feel being made either. While Dr B makes the sites, the staff of three male technicians (who were very professional and who have each been working at GHT for years) dissect the strip under microscopes. Once that is complete, you get a quick bathroom break if needed and can eat some of the snacks and drinks they have set up for you next to the surgical chair if you want. GHT is very private and they only book one client per day and their all male staff (including front desk) focus on you totally. There are no females there to worry about giggling or giving you anxiety while you are in a vulnerable situation. This was a big relief, because most other hair transplant docs book many patients per day and have mostly all female technicians working for them. The technicians surrounded me one on front left, one on front right, and one in the back and they placed the grafts all throughout my head with no pain. When the procedure was completed after about 4-5 hours. Dr Bolton provided all the post op instructions and medication. I was given Keflex antibiotic to protect against any possible infection, anti-inflammatory methylprednisolone pills, Hydrocodone for pain as needed and Tylenol as well. I was also given GraftCyte spray and the instructions to follow for the first 5 days after the procedure. I sat up the whole night of the procedure and was cautious never to touch the recipient area. I took the hydrocodone only the first two days but didn't really need to. Then just Tylenol for the next 3 days. On day 3 I had swelling in my forehead area, on day 4 the swelling traveled down to my eye area, and on day 5 it went to my cheeks. By day 7 all the swelling was all gone, and I had new hairs firmly planted in my head with much of the recipient site scabbing flaking off. I was liking what I was seeing, but those new hairs started shed off around day 13 just as they are supposed to and then they grew back in around 3 months and filled in over the course of the year. I had the stitches removed around 12 days after the procedure and that was a huge relief to have taken out and that was completely painless also. Now my suture line healed invisibly. I cut my sides with a #7 guard and you see no scar at all. I also feel no scar and have all the feeling in my scalp. The end results were nothing short of amazing. Exaclty as I had hoped for and needed! Now I have a complete and full head of hair with a hairline that I can style and comb various ways. It looks completely natural and nobody has ever asked if it was a transplant in the 2 years since the procedure. The whole experience was professional and Dr Bolton and his staff were great. The operating room and the whole office is extremely clean and you can tell it is not some high volume get you in get you out kind of place. I was completely comfortable the whole time. I reccomend contacting them and asking for my patient coordinator named Michael with questions or to set up a procedure. He helped me through the entire process and it's been 2 years and he still follows up for updates. Dr. B is obviously passionate about getting great results for his patients. Highest possible recomendation! Look no further!

If you’re thinking of doing what I did and you’re on the fence about it get off the fence I’ve done all the legwork for you go see Dr. Bolton he’s going to change your life like he changed mine… exceeded all my expectations ..he’s staff is very professional you are there for the day and did not rushing you out that day is booked just for you he takes his time and his work is amazing…. I flew from Montreal (Canada) to have the surgery. Let me tell you that the service was excellent and the surgery went extremely well. The surgery occurred on May first of 2019 (approx. 6000 hairs to lower my hair line). I will post pictures in six months. I've had an excellent service from the whole team. Dr. Bolton and josh gave me their personal cell. Phone number in case I had some questions. January 2022 update ! The hair line looks amazing, no one could tell I did a hair transplant. The scare is visible when you trim the back at 2. I did the micro pigmentation as well. I will probably go back in a year Or two for a second surgery and scar revision Thank you!! Merci beaucoup!

I had a hair transplant with Bosley in New Orleans four years ago. As you can see from the before photos, it wasn't a huge success. I had significantly less hair after a year than I had before the procedure. Dr. Bolton's name and a glowing recommendation from my hairstylist were given to me last year. I took a risk, scheduled an appointment, and flew to Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Bolton and his staff were extremely professional, and they made me feel at ease and confident about the potential outcomes. He suggested moving more follicles forward than I had planned, but I listened to his advice and agreed. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The procedure was performed on 4/13/21, and the after pictures were taken today, 2/13/22, so there is still room for improvement.

I came on the Great Hair Transplants page and realised it was something I had to attempt within a week. I wasn't quite ready to shave my head yet, and I was sick of using hair fibres to cover up my bald areas. Prior to my appointment, I was optimistic that Dr. Bolton and his team would be able to assist me. My trust in them grew steadily from the time I came into the office. They were knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. I received my transplant on June 18th and am immediately blown away by the results. Even though I have another 5 months of growth ahead of me, the difference is already remarkable! I was never unsure about this treatment, but I didn't even realize it at the time that it would be my best option.
