The surgeon’s office needs to cross their T’s and dot their I’s.  All patients need to be cleared by their primary care physician prior to the surgery. There should also be a HIV and hepatitis screen panel completed for the protection of the patient and the staff during the procedure. As long as the patient is in good health and passes the physical, the only hair transplant risks should be some indigestion from eating too much food for lunch!
